Abstract
The focus of the study is to clarify what is the concept of cyberwar and what its dimensions are, and through our acquaintance with the concept of cyberwar as well as its definitions, a comprehensive and specific definition of war has not been identified. Thus, the impact of cyberwar on the People's Armed Forces, by highlighting the importance of the repercussions that pose a threat to the security state, also continues to demonstrate international perseverance to address cyberwar. It also explains how the cyber war occurred to Iraqi national security, and what is the Iraqi strategy for confronting the war.
The importance of this topic stems from the fact that cyberwar constitutes today one of the vital topics in the academic field that affects social, political, and economic life. It also gives a vision of what cyberwar is and the challenges and future and cognitive risks it imposes on Iraq’s position in the cybersystem, and then knowing the most important challenges that it poses. Cyberspace imposes on Iraqi national security, and the importance of the study stems from the fact that it gives the Iraqi decision-maker a sense of the necessity of working to prepare a sound security environment in the future.
